Chris joined the organisation in 2021 because he believes strongly that agri-value chains contribute to the sustainable transition for farmers and that this provides a tangible way for advancing systemic change. From his current capacity as an Impact Investment Manager, Chris leads deal origination activities and due diligence efforts with a particular focus in SME financing in Sub-Saharan Africa and the MENA region. His true passion lies in innovative financing structures for high impact business models in fragile and conflict affected states. Before joining the CFC, Chris gained valuable experience in corporate ESG analysis, development finance, value chain analysis, and financial inclusion working for organizations such as the FMO - the Entrepreneurial Development Bank, IDH - the Sustainable Trade Initiative, the Seafood Trade Intelligence Portal and the National Platform for Inclusive Finance (NpM).
