With a diverse background spanning financial advisory, corporate investments, and strategic financial structuring, Ernesto serves as an Impact Investment manager, he leads processes of debt transactions, including sourcing new deals, financial analysis and due diligence, social and environmental assessments, deal negotiations, and disbursements. In addition, Ernesto manages and monitors a portfolio of existing investees. Portfolio companies are spread in Latin America and Africa that include different commodities including macadamia, coffee, aquaculture products, livestock, and used cooking oil. Ernesto's professional journey includes working in the Engagement Unit at the Platform for Accelerating the Circular Economy (PACE/ Colombia) where he was deeply engaged in advancing sustainable green growth initiatives. His role involved collaborating with external partners and governments to address crucial topics such as sustainable green growth, plastics management, and electronic waste transition in Latin America and Africa. Prior to his engagement at PACE, Ernesto played key roles in impact investment and social entrepreneurship as an Investment Manager at the Yunus Social Business Fund. Additionally, as a Co-Founder of Impact Hub in Barranquilla, Colombia, Ernesto spearheaded initiatives to strengthen the local social entrepreneurial ecosystem through events and community engagement.
